Nigeria has been ranked the fourth country with the highest tickets purchased ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire.
This was disclosed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday in a list of top five (5) countries with the highest tickets secured thus far.
According to the list, Nigeria has bought 12,544 tickets in fourth place, while the host, Cote d’Ivoire has the highest number having acquired 32,307 tickets.
Guinea Bissau are second placed on the list with 28,614 and Central Africa nation, Equatorial Guinea have 16,237 tickets in third spot.
Senegal complete the fifth team on the list after grabbing 10,959 tickets.
The tournament will run through January 13 to February 11, 2024 – and Cote d’Ivoire will welcome Guinea-Bissau to the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan for the opening game.
