Anambra: NSCDC, Other Security Agencies Intensify Operation to Curb Sit-at-Home Threats 

The Anambra State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies have intensified their operations to neutralise sit-at-home threats in the state on Mondays.

The combined security forces are undertaking large-scale patrols round the state to demonstrate their strength and build confidence across Awka, Ekwulobia, Onitsha, and Nnewi axis to bolster the confidence of lawful citizens to go about their businesses without fear of molestation.

Superintendent of Corps, SC Okadigbo Edwin, the Command’s spokesperson made this known in a statement on Monday.

Edwin disclosed that the operation reflects the commitment of security agencies to dismantle criminal networks that seek to instill fear and disrupt economic and social activities in the state.

He explained that the increased security presence is intended to prevent any criminal activity or unwanted incidents from occurring around critical national, state, and local government assets and infrastructure.

“The State Commandant of NSCDC, Maku Olatunde assures members of the public of the NSCDC’s continued security efforts in the protection of lives and Critical National, State and Local Government Assets and Infrastructure and urges residents to cooperate with the Command and other security agencies through prompt reporting of suspicious movements or activities to the nearest NSCDC Formation or through the office of Head Media and Tactical Ops (HMT) via 08153171003, 0806676944,” the spokesperson added.
