
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that it recorded 8,003,196 online pre-registrations during its ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise between October 13 and 19, 2025.
According to the latest statistics released by INEC, 4,190,890 (52.37%) of the pre-registrants were female, while 3,812,306 (47.63%) were male.
The statistics also indicated that 5,533,514 of the pre-registrants were youths between the ages of 18 and 34; 2,018,967 were students; and 182,718 were Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The breakdown of the disabilities included Albinism – 17,395 (9.52%); Autism – 7,073 (3.87%), Blindness – 16,137 (8.83%); Cognitive Learning Disability – 4,377 (2.40%); and Deafness – 8,506 (4.66%).
Others included Physical Impediment – 14,076 (7.70%); Down Syndrome – 1,613 (0.88); Little Stature – 4,878 (2.67%); Spinal Cord Injury – 1,360 (0.74%); and other disabilities – 107,303 (58.73%).
Similarly, Borno recorded the highest number of pre-registrations with 826,130 (10.32%), followed by Osun with 646,580 (8.08%), and Lagos with 604,819 (7.56%).
In contrast, the states with the lowest number of pre-registrations were Ebonyi with 13,979 (0.17%), Abia with 11,221 (0.14%), and Edo with 11,570 (0.14%).
