Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested seven (7) suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.
According to EFCC, the suspects were arrested on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.
Items recovered from them include one Lexus car, laptops and phones.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the agency stated.
