The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has charged Nigerians to pray for the peace and security of the country.
Obi gave the charge in commemoration of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW) on September 5.
“On this joyous occasion of Maulud Nabiyy. I warmly extend my heartfelt felicitations to our Muslim brothers and sisters and the Muslim community across Nigeria.
“Today, we commemorate the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), a revered figure whose teachings emphasize peace, love, humility, tolerance, and compassion. These values are essential in building a united and progressive nation,” he stated.
The politician encouraged Nigerians to reflect on the Prophet’s virtues and strive to emulate them in their daily lives as they celebrate Maulud Nabiyy.
“May this occasion inspire us to promote peaceful coexistence, mutual respect, and selfless service to humanity. I urge all Nigerians, regardless of their faith, to join hands in praying for the peace, security, and stability of our country.”
Obi advised Nigerians to work together towards a brighter future for Nigeria, where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential.
He further wished Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
