Internet Fraud: EFCC Arrests 33 Suspects in Niger, Kaduna, Recovers Phones, Laptops, Other Items 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 33 suspected internet fraudsters in Minna, the capital of Niger State, and in Kaduna State.

According to the EFCC, 29 of the suspects were apprehended on July 1, 2025, while the remaining four were nabbed on July 2, 2025, in the Unguwan Mai Gero area of Kaduna.

“Their arrest followed credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

“Items recovered from them include 46 smartphones, two iPads, 11 laptops and one PlayStation,” the anti-graft agency stated.

It added that they will be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
