Nigeria Has Critical Minerals Commercially Viable Globally – Minister

The Minister of Solid Minerals, Mr. Dele Alake has said that Nigeria has critical minerals that are commercially viable across the globe.

Mr. Alake made this known on X, formerly Twitter on Friday, stressing that Nigeria is ready to welcome foreign firms into the mining sector.

“While hosting the Group CEO of Swiss-based Glencore, one of the world’s largest natural resource companies, I affirmed Nigeria’s readiness to welcome international big players into the mining sector, citing reforms and ongoing efforts to sanitize the sector.

“Nigeria has critical minerals that are commercially viable globally. It is important to provide an efficient governance structure and sanitize the operating environment of the mining sector,” he stated.

The minister added that the objective remains a priority of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
