Obi Donates ₦10m to College of Nursing Sciences in Imo

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has donated ₦10 million to the College of Nursing Sciences in Mbano (CONSMBANO), Imo State, to support ongoing development at the institution.
Obi, who had earlier donated ₦10 million to the institution for the procurement of solar power and a transformer, received commendation from the management and students during his visit on Thursday, March 26, 2026, when he made another donation.
He made this known on X (formerly Twitter), noting that he is always encouraged to see institutions striving to improve learning conditions despite obvious challenges.
Obi expressed his conviction that investing in education, healthcare, and critical infrastructure is the surest path to sustainable national development.
“These should not be seen as expenses, but rather as essential investments in our collective future. We must move from consumption to production by deliberately supporting institutions that build human capital and empower our young people with the skills needed to drive progress,” he said.
Obi urged the students to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their studies, reminding them that they are at the heart of the Nigeria leaders must build — one anchored in competence, compassion, character, and productivity.
He added that Nigeria will experience progress by investing in its youth in a sustainable and productive manner.
