The Minister of Interior, Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has revealed that over 50,000 officers have been promoted across various paramilitary agencies in the last 18 months.
Mr. Tunji-Ojo disclosed this during the decoration of 38 officers of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) to Assistant Controllers General (ACG) on Thursday.
“This is consequent of the promotion of over fifty thousand (50,000) officers across all the paramilitary agencies within the last eighteen months,” he said.
The minister urged the newly promoted officers to remain diligent in discharging their duties, and loyal to the nation.
He also encouraged them to join President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his Renewed Hope mission, where the priority is “to hand on to our children a banner without stain.”
