‘Patronize Naira and Make it Popular’, EFCC Charges Nigerians

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has tasked Nigerians to execute their business transactions with naira in order to make it stronger.

EFCC in a post on X, formerly Twitter on Tuesday stated that purchasing goods frequently in a foreign currency like dollar leads to the depreciation of naira.

“This message is for you in particular. Anytime you buy goods in dollar, you devalue the naira on a regular,” the Commission disclosed in a message tagged ‘towards a better Nigeria’.

The law enforcement agency added: “Patronize naira and make it popular. Let’s make our currency spectacular.”
