Rhythm of Football is Becoming More Dangerous – Kounde

Barcelona defender, Jules Kounde has disclosed that the rhythm of the round leather game is becoming more dangerous for footballers.

Kounde, 25, said the number of games being played in recent years are too many, adding that it has resulted in numerous injuries.

“There are too many games. The pace has become more and more intense, too many injuries. We’re going in rhythm that’s becoming more and more dangerous. There are more and more serious injuries,” he told Clique TV.

The former Sevilla player added: “What bothers me is that when we make this observation, people say that we used to play so much. Even if that was true, it doesn’t mean it was good before.”

Kounde has featured for Barcelona thirteen (13) times this season, having registered 11 La Liga appearances and two (2) games in UEFA Champions League. Consequently, he has had two goals contribution – a goal and an assist.

He has also played six (6) games for the Les Bleus of France in 2023.
