
The Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umar Bago, Federal Ministry of Youth Development and the National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to empower 100,000 youths through the National Youth Agricultural Scheme.
The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Council Chamber of the Government House in Minna.
Mr Ayodele Olawande, the Minister for Youth Development who disclosed this explained that the tripartite agreement will strengthen the relationship between the FMYD, Niger State Government, and NALDA.
Olawande noted that the agreement is a testament to the success being achieved through the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu towards ensuring food security and job creation for Nigerian youths.
He commended Governor Bago for his efforts in ensuring a stable food supply in Nigeria, as well as in job creation and youth empowerment.
Similarly, the Governor expressed confidence that the agreement will meet its objectives, acknowledging the potentials of Nigerian youths to excel with minimal support.
