
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested three suspects for alleged Naira mutilation in Maiduguri, Borno State.
The suspects, identified as Jibrin Bukar, Dauda Adamu, and Abdullahi Mohammed, were apprehended by the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the EFCC.


According to the Commission, Bukar, Adamu, and Mohammed were arrested following a viral video circulated on social media platforms in which they were seen spraying and mutilating Naira notes.

“Working on intelligence, the Commission traced the trio and arrested them in Maiduguri, Borno State,” the anti-graft agency said.
It added that the suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
