The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Mr. Peter Obi, has donated ₦15 million to St. Philomena College of Nursing Sciences in Benin, Edo State, to upgrade the school’s facilities.
Obi made the donation on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, reiterating his commitment to supporting critical sectors of development, including healthcare, education, and poverty reduction.
He urged staff and students across the country to pursue excellence in healthcare training.
Obi also called on governments at all levels, as well as wealthy Nigerians, to channel greater attention and resources toward the critical pillars of development — security, healthcare, education, and poverty reduction.
The critical pillars, he argued, are the foundations upon which a just and prosperous society must stand.
