AIG Maritime Felicitates Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr, Deploys Intensified Waterway Patrols 

The Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Maritime Police Command, AIG Okunade Ronke Nurat, has congratulated Nigerians, particularly muslims, on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

AIG Nurat also extended heartfelt felicitations to stakeholders within the maritime domain, sister security agencies, port operators, shipping companies, and coastal communities.

She urged citizens and maritime stakeholders to remain law-abiding, vigilant, and security-conscious throughout the festive period, while also encouraging sustained cooperation with law enforcement agencies.

The AIG Maritime disclosed that in line with its statutory mandate, the Command has put in place robust security arrangements, including intensified patrols, enhanced surveillance, and strategic deployments across waterways, port facilities, and coastal areas, to ensure a safe, secure, and hitch-free celebration.

Nurat acknowledged and appreciated the invaluable support and collaboration of partners and stakeholders, reiterating the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives and property within Nigeria’s maritime environment.

The Command wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
