Former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Mr. Shehu Sani has revealed that the leadership of States House of Assemblies are breed of stooges.
Mr. Sani disclosed this on his X, formerly Twitter account on Tuesday (today).
“It’s an understatement to call most states House of Assemblies rubber stamps. Their leaderships are mostly carefully selected breed of stooges,” he posted.
The author and human rights activist also said budget presentations and passages in the House of Assemblies are not well-thought-out, adding that most Nigerians do not seem interested in what goes on in their states.
“Budget presentations and passages are mere formalities. Any House member who tries to question or challenge a Governor on anything can earn himself a suspension. Also, most Nigerians don’t know or are indifferent to what is happening in their States Assemblies.”
