A former Senator representing Kaduna Central, Mr. Shehu Sani has lauded the impact of the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, stating that he has achieved more than his predecessors.
Mr. Sani, in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, noted that the previous NSA’s could barely achieve anything in spite of the humongous amount of money spent on security.
He wrote: “Nuhu Ribadu has achieved what many of his predecessors have failed to accomplish despite the hundreds of billions spent in the name of defence and security in the past.
“Neutralisation of top bandit leaders, end to mass abductions of students in northern schools, securing rail lines and major northern highways hitherto notorious for kidnappings. The prompt response to terrorist attacks on power lines is worth mentioning.”
The human rights activist acknowledged that Nigeria’s security challenges are not over, however, Mr. Ribadu, in all indices of comparison, has performed better and set unprecedented records.
He added: “His political critics are fully entitled to their views, but his delivery on his mandate is unparalleled.”
