ACG Edelduok Urges Excise Stakeholders to Sustain Compliance, Highlights Oyo/Osun Command’s One-Third Revenue Contribution
The Assistant Comptroller-General in charge of Excise, Free Trade Zone, and Industrial Incentives, Assistant Comptroller General Eghosa Joy Edelduok, has encouraged excise stakeholders to sustain compliance to boost the Nigeria Customs Service’s revenue.
ACG Edelduok, who was accompanied by her delegation, made these remarks while engaging with excise traders and key stakeholders at the operational headquarters of the Oyo/Osun Area Command on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
In her address, the ACG acknowledged the critical role of excise factories in driving revenue generation for the Service.
She commended stakeholders for their compliance with excise regulations and urged them to sustain their support and cooperation to enable the Command and the Service not only to meet but surpass their revenue targets.
Edelduok also praised the Oyo/Osun Area Command for contributing about one-third of the overall revenue collection.
She further urged officers overseeing excise factories to remain diligent and committed to ensuring the Command achieves its set targets for the year.
In his remarks, the Acting Customs Area Controller, Oyo/Osun Area Command, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole, expressed appreciation to the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, and the management team for the laudable initiative of constituting a committee under the leadership of ACG Edelduok.
DC Adewole noted that the initiative provides a vital platform for engaging stakeholders, encouraging compliance with excise regulations, and identifying operational challenges affecting their businesses.
The engagement concluded with an interactive session, during which stakeholders sought clarifications on key issues and highlighted challenges affecting their operations, while receiving assurances from the Service of continued collaboration and support.
