Air Peace Lagos-Asaba Flight Diverts Over Poor Visibility

An Air Peace flight from Lagos to Asaba, Delta State, on Thursday diverted back to Lagos following poor visibility around the runway at the Asaba Airport.

The affected flight, P47860, was scheduled to operate from Lagos to Asaba when the adverse weather condition forced the aircraft to return to its point of departure.

Air Peace, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Osifo-Whiskey Efe, said the development will affect other flights across its network, resulting in delays.

According to the airline, the diversion was necessitated by safety considerations arising from the poor visibility around the runway at Asaba.

The airline apologised to passengers for the inconvenience caused by the disruption, stressing that the safety and well-being of passengers and crew remained its top priority in all operational decisions.

It advised affected passengers seeking further assistance or updates on their flights to contact its call centre.
