The 2023 presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has said that the Christmas celebration is the right time for Nigeria to tackle the root causes of its struggles.
Mr. Atiku disclosed this on X (formerly Twitter) in his felicitation message to Christians in Nigeria on Wednesday.
He wrote: “I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Christian community in Nigeria. This season reminds us of the importance of love, unity, compassion, and selflessness.
“It is a time to reflect on these values and come together as a nation despite the challenges we face.”
The former Vice President encouraged Nigerians to embrace gratitude for the blessing of this season, even amidst the hardships confronting the country.
“It is also a time to confront the root causes of our struggles, including poor leadership, which has led to widespread suffering. I believe in the strength of our unity. With love and togetherness, we can overcome any obstacle,” he added.
