EFCC Arrests 15 Suspects Over Alleged Radioactive Mineral Trafficking in Niger 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 15 suspects for their alleged involvement in the illegal trafficking of radioactive minerals in Niger State.

EFCC disclosed that the suspects were apprehended by operatives of its Kaduna Zonal Directorate on Sunday, March 8, 2026, along Suleja-Maji Road in Niger.

According to the Commission, they were conveying the suspected minerals in three trucks to several locations across Nigeria for an undisclosed purpose.

It added that the suspects are currently under investigation and will be charged in court upon the conclusion of the investigation.
