The Lagos Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has arraigned a Chinese, Shi Yang Xiong, and a company, Genting International Co. Ltd., before Justice D.I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi.

The anti-graft agency stated that the suspect was arraigned on a one-count charge bordering on alleged cybercrimes and cyber-terrorism, contrary to Section 18 of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, Etc.) EFCC revealed that he pleaded “not guilty” to the offence when it was read to him – and in view of his plea,  prosecution counsel, M.K. Bashir, prayed the court for a trial date and the defendant’s remand in the correctional centre.
