Gov. Otti Commissions 3 Adjoining Roads in Aba

The Governor of Abia State, Mr. Alex Otti has commissioned three (3) adjoining roads in the state.

The roads namely Kent, Ehi and Old Court roads were commissioned in Aba area of the state on Friday.

Mr. Otti reiterated the commitment of his administration, disclosing that he confirmed the deplorable state of the roads when he followed the route earlier in February.

“Yesterday, we commissioned three adjoining roads in Aba as we continue our commitment to solidify road infrastructure in Abia. The roads are Kent, Ehi, and Old Court Roads.

“Also, we are grateful to all the residents and business owners who thronged out to show us overwhelming support and solidarity.

“The lamentable state of these roads was a pressing issue when I passed through in February to inspect other ongoing road projects. It is with joy that we announce that, in just three months, the roads have been reconstructed and are ready for use,” he stated.

He expressed gratitude to the contractors and the Direct Labour Agency under Abia State’s Ministry of Works for their oversight work over the last 90 days.

The governor also thanked the supervisors, stressing that they were instrumental in ensuring that the directives were executed as requested.

He added: “We owe them a debt of gratitude.”

Mr. Otti noted that there are no reservations about Aba’s trade and commerce potential, revealing that the goal is to continue to develop strategic infrastructures that will create inroads for investments and businesses.

He explained that the development will lead to job creation and employment opportunities for the residents of the state.

Dignitary present and special guest of honour at the ceremony was His Royal Majesty, Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe (Agbogidi) CFR, the Obi of Onitsha.
