The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Monday hosted the new Speaker of the State’s House of Assembly, Hon. Mojisola Meranda.
Recall that Meranda, the former Deputy, was elected as the Speaker after lawmakers impeached Mudashiru Obasa over allegations of fraud and abuse of power last week.
Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed the Speaker who was accompanied by her Principal Officers and members of the Executive Council at Lagos House, Ikeja.
He explained that alignment between the Executive and Legislative arms will ensure that Lagos remains a model of excellence in governance.
“We will build on the successes of the past and work tirelessly to deliver transformational progress across all sectors.
“Together, we will continue to implement policies and projects that deliver on our Greater Lagos vision,” he said.
On their part, Hon. Meranda and her team reaffirmed commitment to maintaining a harmonious working relationship.
