ICPC to Arraign El-Rufai Over Alleged Public Property Conversion, Money Laundering

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has announced that it will arraign the former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai, at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
El-Rufai will be arraigned alongside Joel Adoga in a suit numbered FHC/KD/73/2026, which includes charges ranging from the alleged conversion and possession of public property to money laundering.
The ICPC’s Head of Media and Public Communications, John Okor Odey, disclosed this in a statement on Monday.
According to Odey, another charge, numbered KDH/KAD/ICPC/01/26, has also been filed against El-Rufai and Amadu Sule (LEDA) before a Kaduna State High Court.
“The charges in the State High Court case range from abuse of office, fraud, and intent to commit fraud to conferring undue advantage, among others. Both charges were filed by the ICPC on March 18, 2026,” he stated.
He added that the arraignment date for the State High Court case will be communicated in due course.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to due process and the rule of law at all times.
