
Terrorists have stormed St. Mary’s Catholic School in the Papiri community of Agwara Local Government Area, Niger State, abducting several students and staff members of the institution.
This attack comes days after terrorists kidnapped 25 schoolgirls and killed a staff member of Government Girls’ Comprehensive Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State.
Terrorists also recently attacked worshippers at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, Kwara State.
According to reports, the terrorists invaded the school in the early hours of Friday, and the exact number of abducted students and staff has yet to be confirmed. The incident highlights the growing insecurity across the country.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Wednesday postponed his scheduled trip to Johannesburg, South Africa and Luanda, Angola, pending further security briefings on the incidents.
