
The Kebbi Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has conducted a sanitation exercise aimed at enhancing the operational efficiency of the Command.
The excerise, held across the Customs Headquarters and Sam Ango Barracks in Birnin Kebbi, was led by the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Mahmoud Matawalle Ibrahim on Saturday, December 6, 2025. It included sweeping, weeding, raking, burning refuse, and general cleaning of both residential areas and the surrounding environment.


This was disclosed in a statement released by the Command’s Acting Public Relations Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Customs I, Mubarak Mustapha.
Speaking during the excerise, Comptroller Ibrahim stated that the essence of the activity was to instill a sense of cooperation among officers and men, and to demonstrate the importance of working together to achieve collective goals.


He explained that a clean and conducive environment provides the right state of mind needed to effectively and seamlessly carry out the mandate of the Service.
The Comptroller directed Officers in Charge and Patrol Team Leaders to extend the sanitation exercise to all border stations and outstations, assuring that such activities would be conducted regularly.


The event also featured a brief discussion on self-development between the CAC and officers, followed by refreshments.
