Minister Inspects Nnamdi Azikwe Int’l Airport e-Gates, Says It’s About 90% Complete

The Minister of Interior, Mr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo on Friday inspected the electronic gates (e-Gates) of the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport in Abuja, stating that it is about 90% complete.

Mr. Olubunmi disclosed this on X, formerly Twitter, stressing that the development will be replicated in other international airports across the country.

“Today, I inspected the ongoing installation of electronic gates (e-Gates) at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, which is about 90% to completion.

“This advanced border management system, which will be installed in our other international airports including Lagos, Kano, Enugu, and Port Harcourt airports, further reaffirms our commitment to giving Nigerians a sweet experience,” he stated.

He added the President Bola Tinubu’s government of Renewed Hope will continue to invest into the enhancement of national security through the deployment of technology in line with global best practices.
