MultiChoice Announces Hike in Subscription Fees for DStv, GOtv Again

MultiChoice Nigeria, the owner of cable televisions DStv and GOtv respectively has announced the increase in subscription fees for both platforms yet again starting from May 1, 2024.

MultiChoice disclosed that the latest hike is as result of increased operational expenses.

“On Wednesday, May 1, 2024, we will adjust our prices across all our packages on DStv and GOtv,” the company said in a statement titled ‘Price Adjustment on DStv and GOtv Packages’ on Wednesday.

The statement added: “We understand the impact this change may have on you our valued customer, but the rise in the cost of business operations, has led us to make this difficult decision.

“It remains our mission to provide the best entertainment and viewing experience to you and are committed to continue to deliver high-quality content and unparalleled service.”

Recall that MultiChoice Nigeria adjusted the prices for its service packages about five months ago.

The new monthly prices for DStv packages are as follows:

1. Premium from ₦29,500 to ₦37,000.

2. Compact Plus from ₦19,800 to ₦25,000.

3. Compact from ₦12,500 to ₦15,700.

4. Confam from ₦7,400 to ₦9,300.

5. Yanga from ₦4,200 to ₦5,100.

6. Padi from ₦2,950 to ₦3,600.

7. HDPVR Access Service from ₦4,000 to ₦5,000.

8. Access Fees from ₦4,000 to ₦5,000.

9. XtraView from ₦4,000 to ₦5,000.

While, the new monthly prices for GOtv packages are:

1. Supa+ from ₦12,500 to ₦15,700.

2. Supa from ₦7,600 to ₦9,600.

3. Max from ₦5,700 to ₦7,200.

4. Jolli from ₦3,950 to ₦4,850.

5. Jinja from ₦2,700 to ₦3,300.

6. Smallie from ₦1,300 to ₦1,575.
