Why We Failed to Supply Band A Feeders Expected Electricity in 2 Days – Ikeja Electric
Ikeja Electric Distribution Company (IKEDC) has revealed the reasons for the failure to supply Band A customers with the minimum 20 hours of electricity on Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23 respectively.
IKEDC in a public notice signed by its management on Wednesday apologised for falling short of the expected minimum service level of 20 hours on the Band A feeders for both days.
According to the notice, the electricity distribution company highlighted the 11 feeders affected, location, reasons for outage among others.
1. Name of Feeder: 11-Adekunle Fajuyi-INJ-T1-Oduduwa.
Location: Ikeja.
Availability (hours): 22/04/2024 – 19.00 and 23/04/2024 – 5.00 hours.
Reasons for Outage: 11kV Feeder Fault.
Party Responsible: IE.
2. Name of Feeder: 11-PT-CINJ-T2-Awuse.
Location: Ikeja.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 14.00 and 23/04/2024 – 15.00 hours.
Reasons for Outage: for 22/4/2024 – IE: 33kV Fault: Detached pot insulator along Oba Akran repositioned; 23/4/2024 – TCN: Outage on 33kV feeder supplying the 11kV Feeder due to annual preventive maintenance carried out on the 100MVA at Ogba TS and outage on Ogba 132kV line (5:42).

3. Name of Feeder: 11-Adekunle Fajuyi-INJ-T1- Isaac John.
Location: Ikeja.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 8.00 and 23/4/204 – 18.20 hours.
Reasons for outage: 11kV fault: Tree fouling was cut off along Shoinibare road.
Party Responsible: IE.
4. Name of Feeder: 11-PTCINJ-T1-Opebi.
Location: Ikeja.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 18.00 and 23/4/2024 – 17.35 hours.
Reason for outage on 22/4 – ie: 33kv fault: Detached pot insulator along Oba Akran, repositioned; 23/4 – tcn: Outage on 33kv feeder supplying the 11kv feeder due to annual preventive maintenance carried out on the 100mva at Ogba ts and outage on Ogba 132kv line (5:42).

5. Name of Feeder: 11-Ilupeju BypassINJ-T1-Bypass.
Location: Shomolu.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 7.00 and 23/4/2024 – 17.15 hours.
Reasons for outage: 11kV Fault: Broken HT Pole.
Party Responsible: IE.
6. Name of Feeder: 11-Ilupeju BypassINJ-T1-Obanikoro.
Location: Shomolu.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 18.00 and 23/4/2024 – 19.70 hours.
Reasons for outage: 11kV Feeder Fault.

7. Name of Feeder: 11-Ilupeju BypassINJ-T1-Industrial.
Location: Shomolu.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 18.00 and 23/4/2024 – 17.26 hours.
Reasons for outage: 11kv fault: Transient.

8. Name of Feeder: 11-Alimosho-INJ-T8-Alimosho.
Location: Akonwonjo.
Availability (hours): 22/4/2024 – 14.00 and 23/4/2024 – 14.00 hours.
Reasons for outage: 11kv fault: tree fouling line was cut off along Shoinibare road.

Reasons for outage: 22/4 – ie: 33kv fault: detached pot insulator along Oba Akran, repositioned; 23/4 – tcn: outage on 33kv due to annual preventive maintenance carried out on the 100mva at Ogba ts and outage on Ogba 132kv line (5:42).
