
The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has sealed several shops and business premises over the suspected sale of unregistered cosmetic products at the Trade Fair Complex in Lagos State.
This follows a two-day enforcement operation conducted by NAFDAC’s Investigation and Enforcement Directorate (Cosmetics Division) at the Complex on August 26 and 27, 2026, aimed at removing specified unregistered cosmetic products from circulation.


According to NAFDAC, the operation covered several shops and business premises where suspected unregistered cosmetic products were identified, including Vincentmo World, opposite Bmeck Plaza, Private Plaza, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos; Amazon City of Fragrance, Shops 37 and 38, Beauty Promise Land Plaza, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos; and Aza-King Store Perfumes, opposite Fidelity Bank, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos.
The operation also included PP2 & Fragrance Int’l Ltd. — Design Perfumes & Cosmetics, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos; No. D12 Fragrance Doctor Shop, Abia Plaza, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos; God & Obaino Fragrance Store, opposite Wave Plaza, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos; and other identified shops and business premises within the Trade Fair Complex.

The agency disclosed that the affected premises were locked and placed under NAFDAC HOLD labels pending further regulatory action.
It stressed that samples of suspected unregistered cosmetic products were also taken for further investigation.
NAFDAC added that invitation letters were issued to the respective owners and operators for interrogation and necessary regulatory proceedings.
