2027: AAC Seeks Aso Rock Venue, Logistics for 5,000 at Presidential Campaign Council Inauguration

The African Action Congress (AAC) has requested approval from the Presidency to hold the inauguration ceremony of its Presidential Campaign Council at the Presidential Villa, Aso Rock, Abuja, on November 11, 2026, ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The request was contained in a statement issued by the National Secretary of the AAC, Oshiokhue Philip Ikpeminoghena, on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.
The party also requested the provision of food, drinks, and other logistical support for 5,000 participants expected to attend the ceremony from within Nigeria and abroad.
According to the statement, the request was made in the spirit of multiparty democracy, political inclusiveness, and equal treatment of political parties.
The AAC cited arrangements reportedly extended to the All Progressives Congress (APC) for a similar political engagement, urging the Presidency to demonstrate fairness and equal access in its treatment of political parties.
It stated that approving the request would demonstrate the Presidency’s commitment to ensuring that public institutions serve all Nigerians without partisan discrimination.
The party expressed hope for favourable consideration of its request and sought information on the applicable procedures and conditions for approval.
