Former President of Nigeria, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has passed away at a clinic in London at the age of 82.
This was disclosed by Buhari’s spokesperson, Garba Shehu, in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus, Amin,” he wrote.
Buhari served as Nigeria’s President from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023.
