The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters at Uyeh Heaven and Ayam Estates in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
According to the EFCC, the suspects were apprehended by operatives of its Uyo Zonal Directorate on Monday, August 25, 2025, during an early morning sting operation, following actionable intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet crimes.
“Items recovered from the suspects include five laptops, 10 mobile phones, and one iPad,” the Commission stated.
It added that they will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
