Mo’Afrique Expands into Mass Market with Modish Brand, New Garment Factory

Mo’Afrique has announced its expansion into the mass-market segment with the launch of Modish, a high-volume fashion brand, alongside the commissioning of a state-of-the-art garment manufacturing facility.

Both are scheduled for official unveiling on April 26, 2026.

The development marks a new phase for the company, positioning it not only as a design-led fashion house but also as an emerging industrial player focused on redefining how African fashion is produced, scaled and consumed.

Modish is designed to bridge a longstanding gap in the market by combining premium aesthetics with scalable production. The brand targets growing demand from corporates and institutions seeking high-quality, identity-driven apparel delivered with consistency, speed and volume.

According to the company, the initiative translates Mo’Afrique’s design strength into a structured, production-led model capable of serving Africa’s expanding workforce and institutional sectors.

The debut line, Modish Formals, will drive this vision with a focus on refined corporate wear. It blends tailored design sensibilities with industrial reliability, aiming to set a benchmark for large-scale garment production without compromising style or brand expression.

At the centre of the expansion is a newly established industrial garment factory built for scale and precision. The facility will produce a broad range of uniforms, including military and paramilitary apparel, corporate wear and other institutional garments, positioning the company to meet both public and private sector demand.

The move signals Mo’Afrique’s entry into high-volume manufacturing, seen as a critical step towards localising production and strengthening Nigeria’s industrial capacity.

Speaking on the launch, Chief Executive Officer of Modish Formals, Omobolanle Olawole, said: “This expansion is a direct response to market demand. Over the years, our corporate clients have consistently required more than bespoke fashion—they need structured, high-quality garments that reflect their brand identity and can be delivered at scale. Modish is our answer to that need.”

As a subsidiary of the M3 Group, Modish is positioned to play a significant role in Nigeria’s bulk garment industry by combining design innovation, production efficiency and operational discipline.

Founded in 2016, Mo’Afrique has built a reputation for blending African heritage with contemporary elegance in the premium fashion segment.

The launch of Modish marks its transition into a broader growth phase, extending its focus on quality, craftsmanship and identity into the mass market and industrial garment sector.
