ADC Denies Appointment of State Chairmen, Warns Against Fraudulent Payment for Registration

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has dismissed reports circulating on social media about the appointment of State Chairmen across the country.

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary and Interim Spokesperson, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Wednesday, the ADC urged members of the public to beware of fake news being circulated in the party’s name online.

“The ADC admonishes Nigerians to verify every of its information via the official X (formerly Twitter) handle of its National Publicity Secretary, @BolajiADC. Any information that does not emanate from the appropriate communication channels of the party and verified on the X (formerly Twitter) page of the National Publicity Secretary should be disregarded.

“The party also dismissed and condemned in strong terms, the information that some persons have set-up fictitious online platforms to swindle unsuspecting Nigerians of their hard-earned money under the guise of registering them to the party,” the statement reads in part.

It cautioned Nigerians to be wary of such fraudulent acts and consult widely through the appropriate channels, which will be made available to the general public regarding the activities of the ADC and the coalition of opposition political parties.
