Anambra State Commandant, Maku Olatunde made the call when he paid a courtesy visit to the NSCDC Delta State Command on Thursday, April 3, 2025.
This is according to a statement released by the spokesperson of Anambra Command, SC Okadigbo Edwin.
During their engagement, Olatunde emphasised the need to foster collaboration, intelligence sharing, and operational support between the two Commands.
Comdt. Olatunde and Delta State Commandant, Matthew Ovye discussed critical security concerns and strategies for policing the two neighbouring states.
They pointed out transborder criminal activities between the two states as major security concerns requiring decisive action to address the issues promptly.
The meeting centred around bolstering partnership and cooperation to tackle the growing threat of violent crimes and safeguard critical national infrastructure, with a specific emphasis on the Second Nigeria Bridge.
“Their discussions highlighted the importance of Intelligence sharing, enhanced collaboration, and operational support to effectively combat these challenges,” Edwin stated.
