The Deputy President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Adewale Adeyanju, has congratulated the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) on its 72nd anniversary, commending its contributions to Nigeria’s maritime industry.
Adeyanju, the immediate past President-General of the Maritime Workers’ Union of Nigeria (MWUN) and current President of the International Transport Workers’ Federation (ITF), described ANLCA as a pioneer in Nigeria’s clearing and forwarding industry, noting that the association has navigated challenges over the decades and remained a strong force in the sector.
He also highlighted the longstanding relationship between ANLCA and the MWUN, noting that both organisations have operated peacefully over the years as partners in the development of the maritime industry.
The labour leader commended the contributions of past ANLCA presidents, while applauding the current President, Emenike Kingsley Nwokeji, for his leadership of the association.
Adeyanju said the Nigerian clearing and forwarding sector recognises ANLCA’s role in promoting orderliness and professionalism in an industry it pioneered.
He congratulated ANLCA on reaching the milestone, describing the association as a recognised name in Nigeria’s clearing and forwarding industry, and wished its members continued progress in the years ahead.
