CGC Adeniyi Football Tournament Begins in Ibadan as EFCC, Oyo/Osun Customs Match Ends in Stalemate

The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has kicked off the CGC BA Adeniyi Football Tournament at the Polytechnic of Ibadan football field.

Featuring participation from sister security agencies within Oyo State, the tournament, which commenced on Friday, May 1, 2026, is aimed at promoting inter-agency collaboration, unity, and physical fitness among personnel.

The opening match was played between the Nigeria Customs Service Football Club and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Football Club. The keenly contested encounter ended in a goalless draw, setting a competitive tone for subsequent matches.

The competition is scheduled to run from May 1 to May 19, 2026, during which participating teams will compete for honours in the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie.

The Command reiterated its commitment to initiatives that enhance cooperation among security agencies while promoting the welfare and well-being of its personnel.
