Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have arrested five suspects and seized 5,500 litres of AGO, otherwise known as diesel in the eastern part of the country.
NSCDC also announced that it impounded four cars in the process.
According to the para-military agency in a statement issued on X, formerly Twitter on Saturday, the task was executed by its Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG SIS).
“The Commandant General’s Special Intelligence Squad (CG SIS) arrested five (5) suspects, impounded four (4) saloon cars and confiscated about 5,500 litres of suspected illegally refined AGO being transported to Onitsha from Obah Agwa Autonomous Community Oguta Ohaji LGA of Imo State,” NSCDC disclosed.
