EFCC Arrests Man for Impersonation, Recovers ₦3m in Maiduguri

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a man identified as Nuhu Dahiru for impersonation and allegedly obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of ₦3 million.

Dahiru was apprehended by the Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the EFCC in Tashan Bama, along Bama Road, Maiduguri, Borno State, following credible intelligence indicating that he had been parading himself as an EFCC officer and thereby defrauding unsuspecting members of the public.

The Commission disclosed that ₦3 million was recovered from the suspect upon his arrest.

It added that he would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
