The Governor of Oyo State, Mr. Seyi Makinde on Thursday signed the Project Monitoring Agency Bill into law.
Mr. Makinde said that the new agency will be responsible for ensuring that money spent on projects is worth it.
“Earlier today, I signed the Oyo State Project Monitoring Agency Bill of 2024 into law. We believe that project monitoring, being an important part of project execution should not be on a disjointed basis.
“This new agency will work to ensure that Oyo State gets value for public funds spent on projects,” he stated on X, formerly Twitter.
The governor thanked the members of the Oyo State House of Assembly for their collaboration with his administration to ensure that the state government continues to deliver good governance to Oyo residents.
