Internet Fraud: EFCC Arrests 28 Suspects in Benin, Recovers Cars, Phones, Laptops 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 28 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.

EFCC disclosed that the suspects were apprehended on Wednesday, May 14, by operatives of its Benin Zonal Directorate at different locations in the state.

“The suspects were arrested following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

“Items recovered from them include five exotic cars, smartphones and laptop computers,” the anti-graft agency stated.

It added that they will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
