The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 93 suspected internet fraudsters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to the EFCC, the suspects were apprehended by operatives of its Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 in a sting operation conducted in Abeokuta on Sunday, August 10, 2025, following credible intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet crimes.
“Upon their arrest, 18 vehicles and mobile devices were recovered from them,” the Commission stated.
It added that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
