He explained that by saving hours lost in traffic, the state is boosting economic prosperity and enhancing the quality of life for its residents.

The governor added: “This initiative aligns perfectly with our THEMES+ agenda, promoting pollution-free mobility and integrating an intermodal transportation system. The new ferries operate on the Cowry Card payment system, ensuring seamless and efficient service for all users.

“We are not stopping here. An additional 25 high-capacity ferries will be fabricated in the second phase, further expanding our waterway routes and reducing turnaround times. These ferries are equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure safety, comfort, and convenience for all passengers.

“Our commitment to enhancing the Lagos transportation system is unwavering. With new patrol boats, a Search and Rescue Unit, and a floating clinic, we are ensuring that our waterways are safe and efficient.”

He further said that his administration is building a state that thrives on innovation and sustainability.
