NAHCO, Air France-KLM Seal Five-Year Ticketing GSA Agreement

The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc (nahco aviance) has entered into a five-year General Sales Agent (GSA) agreement with Air France-KLM (AFKL), authorising its subsidiary, NAHCO Travel & Hospitality Limited, to sell tickets on behalf of the airline group across Nigeria.

The agreement, announced by NAHCO on Thursday, marks a significant expansion of the company’s longstanding relationship with Air France-KLM, moving its role beyond airport terminal ticketing services to full commercial ticket sales and retail distribution nationwide.

Under the new agreement, NAHCO Travel & Hospitality Limited will operate as AFKL’s ticketing GSA in Nigeria, covering City Ticketing Office sales and retail ticket distribution throughout the country.

The company said the new GSA contract was a distinct commercial agreement from its previous arrangement with Air France-KLM, under which NAHCO managed the carrier’s Airport Ticket Offices (ATO) as part of the Standard Ground Handling Agreement (SGHA).

Speaking on the development, NAHCO’s Group Executive Director, Commercial and Business Development (CBD), Prince Saheed Lasisi, described the appointment as a milestone in the longstanding partnership between the two companies.

He said: “Moving from handling airport terminal ticketing under the traditional SGHA framework to assuming full commercial ticketing authority across Nigeria demonstrates the immense trust Air France-KLM places in our corporate capabilities and market reach.”

The company said the partnership would enable Air France-KLM to strengthen its commercial agility and distribution footprint in Nigeria, while leveraging NAHCO’s market penetration and corporate infrastructure to serve Nigerian travellers and travel management companies.

The development is also in line with NAHCO Group’s strategy of expanding its aviation business beyond traditional ground handling operations, including ramp handling, cargo processing, passenger services and baggage handling, into commercial representation and broader aviation service management.

NAHCO said its appointment as ticketing GSA further strengthens its position within Nigeria’s aviation value chain and creates an expanded platform for its travel and hospitality business.
