TechOff, Bitoshi Take ‘Everybody Can Build’ Campaign to UI, Spotlight Emerging Tech Talents

TechOff and Bitoshi have taken their “Everybody Can Build” campaign to the University of Ibadan (UI), using the campus activation to spotlight emerging technology talents and encourage more young people to embrace innovation and problem-solving through technology.
The event, which marked the first stop in TechOff’s multi-city campus tour, featured games, music, mentorship sessions, networking opportunities, dance performances and the screening of the Builders’ Premiere, the opening episode of TechOff’s ongoing “Everybody Can Build” 2026 competition.
The organisers said the initiative is designed to meet young people in their own environment and create opportunities for them to connect with communities, platforms and experiences that can help transform ideas into impactful solutions.
According to them, the programme reflects an unconventional approach to talent development, recognising that Africa is home to a growing generation of young people using technology not only as consumers but also as creators, innovators and problem-solvers.
They noted that while many young Africans possess technical skills, ideas and creative instincts, access to platforms that provide visibility, support and opportunities remains a challenge.
TechOff and Bitoshi said the technology reality show seeks to bridge this gap by identifying, showcasing and empowering emerging tech talents across Africa, with the broader goal of contributing to the continent’s digital economy.
A major highlight of the UI activation was the screening of the first episode of the “Everybody Can Build” competition, which gave participants and students an opportunity to witness the journey of innovators turning ideas into practical solutions.
The organisers explained that the experience was intended to inspire more young people by showing the realities of building, including experimentation, uncertainty and learning from setbacks before achieving success.
They expressed optimism that seeing peers create solutions would encourage other young people to pursue their own ideas and become active contributors to Nigeria’s technology ecosystem.
TechOff and Bitoshi added that the campus tour represents a broader strategy to identify, amplify and support emerging talents, while creating pathways for innovation and digital entrepreneurship across the country.
