Bitoshi Africa, an African cryptocurrency fintech focused on making digital assets more accessible and secure, has partnered with TechOff 2026 as headline sponsor to support emerging developers, designers, product thinkers, creators and problem-solvers across the continent.
The partnership is aimed at providing young African builders with greater access to visibility, mentorship, networks and platforms to develop and showcase ideas capable of addressing everyday challenges and shaping the continent’s digital economy.

TechOff 2026, themed “Everybody Can Build”, is expanding its technology reality show platform into a multi-city experience featuring emerging developers, designers, product thinkers, creators and problem-solvers through challenges, industry conversations and digital storytelling.
The initiative builds on TechOff’s evolution since its launch in 2023, including its 2024 hackathon and 2025 technology reality show format.
The partnership comes amid the continued expansion of Africa’s technology and fintech ecosystems and growing demand for skilled talent across engineering, artificial intelligence, data, cybersecurity and product development.
A recent Business & Financial Times analysis of Africa’s fintech sector estimated that the continent could require 4.5 million skilled developers by 2030.
Beyond producing innovative ideas and teaching technical skills, the partnership seeks to support an ecosystem where emerging talent can build, test and launch ideas, gain visibility, connect with relevant networks and participate meaningfully in the digital economy.
Speaking on the partnership, Bitoshi Africa CEO, Timilehin Zubair, said Africa’s digital future would be shaped by people given the opportunity to build with technology.

Founded in 2020, Bitoshi evolved from a web application into a mobile platform focused on simplifying access to cryptocurrencies and digital-asset services.
