‘We’ve Resolved All Issues Amicably’, Dickson Says After Meeting with Obi

The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Senator Seriake Dickson, has disclosed that internal issues within the party, as well as those involving aggrieved supporters of Peter Obi, have been resolved amicably following a meeting with the presidential candidate.

Dickson, who made the disclosure in a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, also revealed that other leaders of the party were present at the closed-door meeting, which lasted about three hours.

“In the course of that meeting, we reviewed the activities of our party and discussed a few recent issues that have been a source of concern to all sides, and we amicably resolved all the issues,” he said.

Dickson noted that he has always been on the same page with Obi on the bigger picture — winning elections for all candidates of the NDC and rescuing Nigeria from the misgovernance of the APC-led government.

However, he acknowledged that a few issues had arisen and confirmed that they agreed on how to handle them moving forward.

He called on party members to stop the bickering and name-calling and focus on the bigger picture.

The national leader emphasised that he, Peter Obi, and other party stakeholders will continue to consult and engage with one another to address concerns and strengthen the unity and cohesion of the NDC.

He reiterated the party’s commitment to its shared mission of rescuing Nigeria and building a better future for all.
