
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has witnessed a change in leadership following the formal handover from Comptroller Olu Adebisi to Comptroller Victoria Chinwe Aliboh.
The handover ceremony took place at the Command’s Conference Hall on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, in the presence of officers and men of the Command.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Public Relations Officer of the Command, Deputy Superintendent of Customs Jude Ansha.
According to the statement, the tenure of the outgoing Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Adebisi, lasted one year and nine months, during which numerous significant achievements were recorded.
These achievements include impressive revenue generation and collection, ensuring compliance of excise factories, the establishment of bonded terminals, among others.
Speaking during the ceremony, Adebisi expressed gratitude to the officers of the Command for the dedication and cooperation throughout his tenure.
He described the incoming CAC as a seasoned officer, having served as Comptroller of Risk Management in the Department of ICT & Modernization at the NCS Headquarters, with a proven track record of excellence.
He also urged the officers to work collaboratively with Comptroller Aliboh to achieve the Command’s set goals of revenue generation and the mandate of the Comptroller-General of Customs, CGC Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
In her remarks, Aliboh thanked the outgoing CAC and congratulated him on the successful completion of his service, wishing him a happy retirement.
She sought the cooperation and support of officers to fulfill the mandate of CGC Adeniyi and assured them of her commitment to effective leadership.
Similarly, the officers of the Command expressed their goodwill through messages filled with praise and commendation for the outgoing CAC.
Present at the handover ceremony were Assistant Comptrollers, the Staff Officer General, and several other senior officers of the Command.
